The Parco dei Cavalli is located on the outskirts of Bologna in the
town of Castel San Pietro Terme
at a short distance from the Via Emilia. It lies amids
the beautiful countryside of the Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi e Calanchi dell'Abbadessa. The
farmhouse, built in 1878 by Marquis Malvezzi, offers comfortable rooms overlooking the
garden, each with a private bathroom. |

The
owners, Emanuela and Amerigo, divide their time between restoring antique
furniture (there is even a small show room) and taking care of ten horses
and two friendly donkeys (they also offer boarding). Over the weekend
they organize tours on horseback (Western style riding) and by mountain bike
in the beautiful hills of the Park (please contact us to make a reservation).
The town of Castel San Pietro Terme,
about 10 km away, offers a Golf Club with a 18-hole course and wellness
packages at its renowned Spa facilities. |
